How to track form email subscribers source
Learn how to identify which page the visitor was on when they subscribed.
Set up time: 1 min.
Difficulty: easy.
To pass the visitor's location with the rest of the data, you need to create a hidden field. Hidden fields are invisible form fields that include data which cannot be seen or modified by users when a form is submitted.
To create a hidden field:
Create an Other type form field.
Give it a proper Name so you can distinguish it in your email gathering service (e.g. Mailchimp or Google Sheets). For example, it can be "SOURCE" or "Location".
To make it hidden, type hidden in the Attributes field.
Set the source value by creating value attribute in the Attributes field.
That's it! This field will pass its value like the rest of the fields.
You can set different values for different forms. For example:
value="pricing_page"
value="about-us_page"
value="landing_page_Bottom"
