How to connect custom domain

Besides publishing your website on a free subdomain (e.g. yourwebsite.unicornplatform.page), you can also publish it to any custom domain (yourwebsite.com).

This guide will show you how to connect your custom domain in 3 simple steps.

|| Please note that domains require some time to start working. Usually, it takes no more than 1 hour, but in some cases, it may take up to 24-48 hours. Unfortunately, there is no way to speed up this process. This is how the Internet works 🤷‍♂️

Before we get started, please make sure that you:

Upgraded your Unicorn Platform account to the a paid plan.
Purchased a domain name from a domain provider, such as Namecheap, GoDaddy, or Google Domains.

Step 1 – Enable custom domain for your website

To add custom domain to your Unicorn Platform website, go to Website Settings > Domain & Publish tab. Enter your domain name into the Custom domain field and toggle Use custom domain switch on.

After that, you should see a small table with 2 IP addresses referred to as "Values".

Copy it. We will need them in step 2 😉

1. Get a Google Analytics embedding code.

Kindly follow this manual to set up Google Analytics and get a code.

2. Place a code in Unicorn Platform website settings.

Login to your Unicorn Platform account and go to Website settings. Click "Custom code". Paste your Google Analytics code in the and hit the save button.

That is it! Now your website is empowered with Google Analytics.

Collecting emails is a crucial goal for the majority of landing pages. With Unicorn Platform you can quickly hook up your Mailchimp account and start collecting emails right away. This illustrated guide will help you to set the forms up in a few minutes.

Unicorn Platform offers predesigned and precoded AJAX forms (so-called Diaforms) which work out of the box:

These magical forms do this:

Engage users to subscribe to your newsletter.
Collect emails and send them to your Mailchimp list via AJAX.
Show server or network errors.

All you need to activate it is to copy-paste a unique attribute from your Mailchimp account. Here is a few steps guide to set the forms up:

Then in the right sidebar find "Connect new integration", click this one and in the next sidebar choose the button "Connect Google Sheets":

You will see another sidebar with "Connect Google Sheets" and additional info, click the Google-branded button, and go through the standard Google account authorization process.
